Well, the eastern seaboard got hit pretty badly with snow yesterday. Here is Brooklyn it wasn’t as bad as in other places like the Washington, DC area. According to one of my resellers and someone I follow on Twitter they got about 21 inches. From the look of things on my porch I’d say that we got about a foot but we may get more as it has started to snow again.
With the first snowfall of the year, Rivky is very excited and already went out on the porch several times to play in the snow. I have always liked watching the snow fall. It’s just the driving and getting around once the snow has fallen is a pain. With the way people drive during the snow you would think that they have forgotten how to drive. I also have two cars to clean off and that is a pain but at least I don’t have to shovel a walk or driveway since that gets handled by building management.

I have not posted anything of substance up here recently because I’ve been pretty busy. It’s not that I have not wanted to but it always seems to be low on my priority list. Sad, but true. Here are some random things that have been on my mind as of late.
- This weather has really been messing up my riding. Last week was really frustrating since I was only able to ride Sunday and Monday. This week I’m out of town and (obviously) not able to ride. I can’t wait for next week where I’ll should be in the office the whole week.
- Congratulations to the Penguins! Nobody gave them the chance to win that game 7 in Detroit and yet, they did. It was a great series all the way through (aside from game 5) and it’s series like this and games like game 7 that make sports fun to follow.
- If you follow me on twitter or are a friend of mine on facebook you may have seen the postings after my bike rides. I have been doing that with an iPhone application called iMapMyRide. It’s been working OK, but the major issue with it, with the iPhone OS actually, is that I can’t multitask and so when I receive a phone call my ride stops being tracked even when I am still moving. This getting a little long so I’ll try and break what I’m looking for into another post.
- I’ve been really happy with the way that the Pirates have been playing especially after the McLouth trade. I don’t know if they will keep it up this year but there is light at the end of the tunnel and it’s not an oncoming train.
